Best Night of the Week!

In Young Life, we make some pretty incredible claims. For example, kids for decades have come home from Young Life Camp and exclaimed, "That was the best week of my life!" If you haven't been to Young Life Camp, that's hard to imagine (and by the way, we do camps for 6th-12th grades and adults, so come experience it for yourself!). Yet, if you've been to Young Life camp, most agree that it is indeed one of the best weeks of your life.

At camp, one of my favorite things to watch a the chaos ensue each night outside the club room as kids are waiting for the music to welcome them in. They will be pressing on the doors, peering in the windows and are ready to do whatever it takes to get a good spot for this incredible hour. In the local area we don't have the caribe (banana boat), ropes course or water slides; but we do have Young Life Club. And, we promise kids it will be the best night of the week!

Why? Because we believe kids deserve our best, but more importantly, we believe Jesus deserves our best. As staff and leaders, club is an act of worship! I could go on and on about club, but if you're curious about Young Life club, we invite you to contact our office to set up a time to come check it out. We want you to see the amazing work God does each week during this time. It's incredible.

First Mount Baker Middle School Club
In Auburn, we are averaging about 80 kids per club at our middle and high school clubs. It has been a real blessing to watch clubs grow, but it has been challenging [the kind of challenge we rejoice over!] as well. For example, we feed kids at Cascade and Mount Baker Middle School clubs -- we have intentional reasons for doing this and will continue to do so, but it's getting a bit costly! We are looking for people to help cover the costs of these meals or prepare a meal once every few clubs (translates to every other month).

In addition, the more kids we serve, the more leaders we need -- at all levels. We specifically need leaders at the high school level (AMHS, ARHS & AHS) and at Cascade and Mount Baker Middle Schools. I invite you to pray about being a Young Life leader. The needs are great and let me tell you, these kids are awesome. Seriously. They will bless you beyond belief. We are grateful and excited for what God is doing. Continue to keep us in your prayers and join in on the fun if you feel a tug at your heart!
